Tapelight and Driver Materials Calculator

Select your tape, enter your run lengths and quantities, and instantly get an optimized bill of materials — minimum tape rolls, minimum drivers — plus a wiring shop drawing.

How to Use This Calculator

  • Choose your tapelight series, CCT, and IP rating
  • Select dimmable or non-dimmable, and driver assignment mode
  • Label each run, enter length in inches, and set quantity of identical copies
  • Runs exceeding max run length auto-split into segments — each homeruns back to the driver
  • Tape rolls are always combined across runs to minimize material
  • Press Calculate to get your optimized BOM and shop drawing

⚡ Ironclad Rule: Separate Switch = Separate Driver

Every zone on its own switch or dimmer must have a dedicated driver — no exceptions. Enter each independently switched zone as a separate run line.

Minimize Drivers mode groups runs onto shared drivers to reduce count. Any runs sharing a driver will be flagged — they must be wired to the same switch/dimmer.
